About Me

I’m a wife, mom, and now grandma who has spent the last three decades navigating the ups and downs of both family and career. My husband and I have been married for 30 years, though our journey hasn’t always been smooth—we were separated for over two years, but through faith, grace, and a lot of work, we found our way back. Marriage has taught me that love is a choice you make every single day.

Together, we raised five kids (yes, I even tried homeschooling them—sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t!) and are now blessed with grandchildren who fill our days with joy. Like so many families, we’ve weathered financial struggles, mental health challenges, and the loss of loved ones. Life has tested us in ways we never expected, but it has also given us resilience, laughter, and countless wins worth celebrating.

Along the way, I’ve learned something important: life is hard no matter which way you turn. Marriage is hard. Being single is hard. Working is hard. Being unemployed is hard. Balancing family and business is hard too. We don’t get to avoid the challenges—but we do get to choose our hard. I’ve chosen mine. I’ve chosen the sometimes-messy, often-demanding, but ultimately rewarding path of family, faith, and meaningful work.

I’ll be honest: I’ve made mistakes along the way. I’ve been duped by pyramid schemes, had my bank account hacked, and stumbled more times than I can count. But being human means learning from those missteps, dusting yourself off, and pressing forward.

That’s what Wins & Woes is all about. This is a space to share real stories—the victories that inspire us and the struggles that shape us. I want it to be a place where honesty and connection matter more than perfection, and where we can remind each other that even in our hardest moments, we’re not alone.

At my core, I’m a “fixer.” I see people struggling, and I want to help. I know I can’t solve everything, but I believe that by sharing experiences openly, we can learn from one another, encourage each other, and maybe even bring a little more unity into a divided world. Wins & Woes is where it all spills out—and where together, we find ways to clean it up and move forward stronger.
